Comprehensive Management & Choice


Our approach is based on the following process:
  • The Initial Assessment
    Before you begin your treatment program with us we will meet with you for an initial assessment. In this session we gather a greater understanding of your specific needs and determine what strengths contribute to your overall functioning.

  • The Initial Treatment Plan
    We'll then recommend an initial treatment plan, listen to your feedback and co-design a program that will allow you to feel comfortable receiving our individualized services.

  • Weekly Assessments and Program Adjustments
    We focus on your care on a week by week basis, continuously assessing your progress and making any necessary adjustments. Sometimes implementing new thoughts and behaviors can be overwhelming, but at Vantage Point, you can trust we are attentive to your feedback and concerns about your own therapeutic process. This distinguishes us from other treatment facilities. We actively listen and adapt your program to work for you.


  • What We Offer

    Case Management

    Whether it is writing a resume, practicing for a job interview, or needing some outside referrals, your case manager is your conduit to the outside world. They provide an additional layer of support to help you get through some of the more challenging day to day aspects or rehabilitation.


    Psychological Testing

    Testing is an adjunctive tool that gives further evidence to underlying cognitive or mental health issues that can be distracting you from success. We can offer you specialized testing and reports that will highlight areas of your functioning that can benefit from increased focus.


    Individual and Group Therapy

    Vantage Point clinicians operate from different modes of thought. That is why we pride ourselves in offering various orientations that include everything from Cognitive Behavioral to Brief Psychodynamic Therapy. You can read more about our individual therapists on the staff page.


    Family Therapy

    Family therapy incorporates ways in which the client can improve communication and adaptive coping with the family system. It also enhances interpersonal relationships and ways to develop new structure within the dynamic.


    Medication Management

    Studies suggest that individuals that partake in recovery efforts have a fifty percent chance of improving with the integration of psychotropic medication. We have our independently affiliated Medical Doctors to oversee your medical and medication needs. Additionally, our Doctors are certified in facilitating detox with the use of medications such as Suboxone and Subutex.


    Educational Consulting

    One is never too old to think about the potential of furthering in education. Our consultants can provide a series of assessment tools to determine your strengths and areas of further growth in order to afford you the appropriate resources for the greatest opportunity for success.


    AA Alternative Resources

    Sometimes the 12-Step environment is not the best fit and we understand. Our goal is to assist you in developing a connection through alternate recovery resources that you may feel more comfortable. Such resources can integrate increased holistic approaches, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and a host of other unconventional methods.


    Sponsorship

    The goal of the sponsor is to provide you with a step-wise approach to addressing your recovery in conjunction with AA or NA resources. They facilitate your growth and offer increased opportunities for support.


    Sober Coaching

    Sober coaches are often used for individuals that appreciate the validation and encouragement that they may require through their recovery process. The goal for the client and coach is to have a team approach and work on problem solving through a series of tasks and exercises.


    Empowerment Coaching

    Empowerment coaching challenges clients to think outside of the proverbial box when it comes to recovery or mental health. It breaks open opportunities to put their newly found skills into practice without the fear of doing it alone.


    12-Step Support

    12-Step support groups offer a strong foundation and accessible resource for an instant and safe community. It is the largest resource for individuals desiring connection to a recovery community. Based on research, active participation in a 12-step support environment has been evidenced to have the largest outcome for success.


    LGBTQ Support

    We pride ourselves in our connection with the LGBTQ community by offering a safe and open space to address specific needs.


    Mindfulness

    Mindfulness is a therapeutic practice in enhancing your awareness of the present world. Similar to meditation, it is a systematic method in promoting a non-judgmental openness to the world around and placing individuals away from the automatic thinking and process that dictates our daily living.


    Acupuncture

    Acupuncture promotes the integration of traditional Chinese medicine and practices promoting total body wellness


    Neurofeedback

    This is a computer-based brain training technique utilizing the central nervous system. The technique is non-invasive and includes the use of one or more sensors. The brain waves are then monitored by a therapist and computer-based instrument that records the level of arousal, alertness, flexibility, and stability of the brain. Sessions consist of a video-game like experience using nothing but the brain which facilitates increased learning through audible commands. Research has indicated an abstinence rate as high as eighty percent when neuro-feedback has been utilized.


    Art Therapy

    Art therapy encourages expression through a series of visual mediums and tactile processes in order to facilitate change. One's ability to draw makes no difference in this highly charged group.


    Hypnotherapy

    This therapeutic tool allows clients to deepen their sense of their unconscious processes through guided imagery. Not to worry though, you will not bark like a dog every time you hear a doorbell.


    Pranic Healing

    Pranic Healing® is a highly evolved and tested system of energy medicine developed by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui that utilizes prana to balance, harmonize and transform the body's energy processes.
